02 - What is Salvation?

• Atonement from sin
• Eternal Life (rather than death)
• Perfection of the Likeness of God in Eternal Life (rather than corruption)
• False Ideas of Salvation
  • Universalism - "All will be saved"
  • Limited Atonement - "Only the Elect" (Mormon, Jehovah Witness, etc.)
  • Pluralism
  • Protestantism - one extreme: By Grace through faith
  • EO response to Protestant ideas (e.g. in PSA, Original Sin, Theosis) during the neopatristic movement
