# The Arrest of Jesus

##### Arrest of Christ

- “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me?"
    - He wants to tell them - I am going of My own will! Why did you bring swords and clubs? And He delivers Himself into their hands
- They arrested Him and bound Him... and He remained silent.

##### He Does Not Resist

"You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you." (James 5:6)

- When He was brought to trials, He didn't resist or utter harsh words
- When we suffer, that's when whatever is inside us comes out; but the Holy One, Grace pours out.

Christ was tried six times - three religious (Jewish) trials and three civil (Roman) trials

- Jewish Trials: Annas (John), Caiaphas (Matthew and Mark), Sanhedrin (Luke)
- Roman Trials: Pilate, Herod, Pilate
