Importance of the Scripture

 Recommend for each person to keep a small bible in their pocket or purse 

 Recommend for each person to have a chair in their house dedicated to reading and benefitting 

 Many people read the Bible as a study, but what is more important is the spiritual benefit in the spiritual and practical life of the person 

 The Holy Bible is the greatest message

 

 When St Antony got a letter from Emperor Constantine, he put it next to him and didn’t read it. So his disciples said to him “You got a letter from the emperor and you didn’t read it?!?” He said “my sons, God sends us a letter every day in the Holy Bible… do we value its reading as much as you value the letter from the emperor?” 

 St Antony, from one verse he heard in the church, it changed his whole life (“If you want to be perfect, go and sell what you have”) 

 

 

 Open the Bible… but also open your heart as you read it
