Deacons - Role of Chanter

As we standardize the roles of the ranks in our church (i.e. with Sanctuary Service being limited to those who are in the rank of Subdeacon), it is becoming increasingly important to properly define the role of the chanter for each grade level. This should ensure that over time, the boy grows and excels in his service as a chanter until such time that he is ordained as a Reader (if applicable).
